To Marilyn Monroe!

Queridos todos, ya estoy de vuelta, con conexión normalizada y sobre todo, ya mucho más recuperada, de vuelta a casa. Y por cierto, ¡ya es junio! Qué rápido ha pasado el tiempo.

Dado que no tuve Internet la semana pasada (semana de la cual les hablaré pronto), pasó el día 1 de junio, el día que la mítica Marilyn Monroe cumpliría 86 años. ¿Se imaginan cómo sería ahora si siguiera viva? 

Tuve oportunidad de ver la película Mi semana con Marilyn, basada en los libros de Colin Clark, autor británico que cuando joven y novato escoltó a la actriz durante el rodaje de la película El príncipe y el corista, en 1956. 

Muestra una Marilyn frágil, femenina, necesitada de mimos y mala actriz, convertida ya en una auténtica bomba sexual, sabedora de su poder y recién casada con Arthur Miller.

La actuación de Michelle Williams como Marilyn me llamó mucho la atención (hubiera pensado que sería Scarlett Johansson quien pudiera mejor interpretarla) y no sólo a mí, sino a la gran cantidad de grupos, asociaciones y academias que la postularon como Mejor Actriz, desde los renombrados Premios Oscar hasta los BAFTA.

Como dato curioso, Michelle Williams tuvo que ganar peso para acentuar sus curvas y trabajó con coreógrafos para ayudarla a caminar al estilo de Marilyn.

Dear all, I'm back, with standard connection and above all, much more recovered, back home. By the way, it's June! How quickly time has passed by.

Since I had no Internet last week (week which I will talk about soon), June 1st is gone, the day the legendary Marilyn Monroe would be 86 years. Can you imagine how she would be now if still alive? 

I had the chance to see the movie My Week With Marilyn, based on the books of Colin Clark, a British author when young and novice escorted the actress during the filming of the movie The Prince and the Showgirl in 1956. 

Marilyn appears as a bad actress, fragile, feminine, needed of pampering, already turned into a real sex bomb, knowing her power and newly married to Arthur Miller. 

The performance of Michelle Williams as Marilyn caught my attention (I thought it would be Scarlett Johansson who could best interpret her) and not just to me but to many groups, associations and academies that postulated for Best Actress, from the renamed Oscar Awards to the BAFTA Awards.

As funny fact, Michelle Williams had to gain weight to accentuate her curves and worked with choreographers to help her walk in Marilyn's style.
