La gran Piaf
Empieza el mes de mayo (uy, a qué ritmo va el año de rápido).
Y el día de hoy desperté con la canción "La Vie en Rose" (de la cual dejo aquí el video, con la letra) de la gran Edith Piaf, una de las cantantes francesas más afamadas del siglo XX.
En América, en los últimos años, se ha hecho particularmente conocida gracias a la película llamada "La Môme" (que se puede traducir como"la niña", como era conocida) protagonizada por la bellísima Marion Cotillard, basada en su vida. Un auténtico drama francés que plasma su biografía, desde un ángulo más bien personal e íntimo, que relata su épica vida: su infancia en París, su éxito en Estados Unidos y su desgarradora muerte en Francia.
Siempre he sido aficionada de las historias de grandes personajes, en particular de mujeres fuertes, con personalidad, talento y perseverancia especiales. Edith Piaf no podía ser la excepción.
Esta es una película muy recomendable, incluido, por supuesto, su soundtrack (que me encanta escucharlo en carretera, no sé por qué).
Y hoy dedico este post (que es brevísimo en relación a todo lo que podría hablar de ella) a mi amigo Luis, que cumple años y desde hace un tiempo me había pedido que hablara sobre Piaf.

And today I woke up with the song "La Vie en Rose" (I leave here the video with the letter) of the great Edith Piaf, one of the most famous French singers of the twentieth century.
In America, in recent years has become particularly famous by the movie called "La Môme" (which translates as "the girl", as she was known) starring the beautiful Marion Cotillard, based on her life. An authentic French drama that captures her biography, from an angle rather personal and intimate, which tells her epic life: her childhood in Paris, her success in the U.S. and heartbreaking death in France.
I've always been fan of stories of great people, especially strong women, with personality, special talent and perseverance. Edith Piaf could not be the exception.
This is a highly recommended film, including, of course, the soundtrack (which I love to hear on the road, I do not know why).
And today I dedicate this post (which is very short in relation to anything that I could talk about her) to my friend Luis, whose birthday is today and had asked me to talk about Piaf.
