Real inspiration!

¡Londres, Londres! Qué ciudad tan especial, tan emblemática, tan vibrante. No había vuelto desde hacía unos 10 años y la verdad es que fue una gozada. 

Mr.Chow, Notting Hill, Portobello Market, London Eye, Harrod's, entre otros, fueron las paradas de esta reciente escapada, de las cuales, por supuesto, les hablaré con detalle.

Hoy que es día del Blogger (¿quién hubiera pensado justamente hace 10 años que llegaría a existir ese término y que además habría un día para celebrarlo?) quiero mostrarles esta foto, una auténtica inspiración para quienes escribimos sobre viajes. Obsérvenla. 

Exacto. Se trata de la 1era. Edición de la Guía Michelin, ¡la primera sobre Londres! ¿Cómo llegué a ella? Sentada en un restaurante del aeropuerto internacional Heathrow de Londres, en paz, observando la lluvia caer y la imparable actividad del personal en el exterior, acompañada de una copa de vino tinto, cuando (como es mi costumbre) me puse a leer los títulos de un librero de la decoración del restaurante, justo al lado mío. ¡Tarán!

Esta guía es un referente para el mundo gastronómico y de viajes en general. Así que efectivamente, se convierte en una fuente permanente de inspiración para los viajeros pasados, actuales y seguramente, futuros. 

Antes no existían los bloggers. Las recomendaciones se daban de esa manera. Ahora, estamos mucho más informados (a veces hasta confundidos por tanta información) y somos más libres al elegir nuestras paradas en esos destinos favoritos.

¿Qué les parece? A mí me fascinó tenerla en mis manos y hojearla con toda calma, incluso oler el papel amarillento y disfrutar la tipografía antigua. Genial.

London, London! What a so special, so iconic, so vibrant city. I had not been there since about 10 years and the truth is that this time was a blast.

Mr.Chow, Notting Hill, Portobello Market, London Eye, Harrods, among others, were the stops of this recent escapade, of which, of course, I will talk to you in detail.

Today is Blogger's day (who would have thought 10 years ago that such term would exist and also would have a day to celebrate?) and I want to show you this photo, an inspiration to those who write about travel. Observe it.

Right. This is the 1st. Edition of the Michelin Guide, the first about London! How did I get it? Sitting in a restaurant in London Heathrow Airport, in peace, watching the rain fall and the relentless activity of staff in the outside, accompanied by a glass of red wine, when (as is my habit) I read the titles of a bookshelf in the decoration of the restaurant, right next to me. Padam!

This guide is a reference for the world of gastronomy and travel in general. So effectively, it becomes a permanent source of inspiration for travelers in the past, the present and surely the future.

Before there were no bloggers. The recommendations were given that way. Now, we are much more informed (sometimes confused by so much information) and are freer to choose our favorite stops on those destinations.
