Intouchables

Ayer tuve por fin la ocasión de ver la película francesa "Intouchables" o "Amigos", como fue llamada en Latinoamérica. Es una comedia dramática basada en la historia de la vida real de un rico tetrapléjico Philippe, y su asistente doméstico, Driss, quien le cambia la forma de llevar su día a día.

Desarrollada en París, trata de dos hombres de entornos antagónicos, uno rico e imposibilitado físicamente, otro senegalés, exconvicto y convertido en los brazos y piernas de aquél. Pero ambos se complementaron de una forma totalmente inesperada y enriquecedora para cada uno.

Me hizo pensar en la dependencia física que se puede llegar a tener, por ejemplo, al hacerse mayor y que no por ello se debería de perder la ilusión en la vida que queda. 

No me quiero extender más por si acaso no la han visto. 

La música, además, es deliciosa. ¡Me urge el soundtrack!

Es simplemente fantástica y absolutamente recomendable. Por cierto, se convirtió en la segunda película francesa más exitosa de todos los tiempos. 

Con François Cluzet y Omar Sy. Basada en la historia de Philippe Pozzo di Borgo (autor del libro Le Second Souffle).

Yesterday I finally had the chance to see the French film "Intouchables" or "Friends" as it was called in Latin America. It's a comedy-drama based on real life story of a wealthy quadriplegic Philippe, and his domestic assistant, Driss, who changes his way of taking his every day life.

Developed in Paris, it's about two antagonistic environments men, one rich and physically impossibilitated, another Senegalese ex-con who become the arms and legs of the other one. Both were mutually compplemented in a totally unexpected and enriching way for everyone.

It made me think about the physical dependence one can have, for example, as we grew older and therefore we shouldn't lose the illusion of remaining life.

I don't want to extend more in case you haven't seen it.

The music also is delicious. I want the soundtrack!

It's just gorgeous and absolutely recommended. By the way, it became the second most successful French film of all time.
